All New 2016 Kia Sorento: The Ultimate Getaway Vehicle Seats 7The new 2016 Kia Sorento is about to get a facelift and body drop. And over at Quirk Kia in Braintree, we’re ready to see it in person. Are you?

The next generation Kia Sorento crossover body will be longer, lower and have more interior space. A larger and more defined grill, joined with advanced headlights sharpen the already distinguished face of the large SUV. This popular Kia has seen two big updates over the years since 2002, and after the 2014 L.A. Auto Show in November, it’s become clear that this generation has the potential to be the greatest Sorento yet.

Cosmetically:

The large crossover market is competitive, with a lot of players, everyone can see that. But Kia brings a lot to the lot with this one. The new 2016 Sorento has a wider stance and expanded wheelbase for more cabin space that seats up to seven. The seven seater is a clincher option for some buyers, and an added convenience for others. Stylistic updates include but are far from limited to, sculpted surfaces complemented by a luxurious wraparound dashboard, fine leather seating, soft and plush surfaces, and a crystal clear infotainment system. It’s obvious that Kia is going for a sophisticated yet edgy look on this new cost effective large SUV.

Technology:

Kia has stated that the new 2016 Sorento will be available in five different trim levels, giving consumers plenty of options when choosing their next Sorento. Bluetooth, all-wheel-drive, a Smart Power Liftgate for hands-free opening and a height adjustable hatch, 14-way power seating, and different engines round out some of the technology going into this new Kia model. A GDI 2-liter gasoline fueled four-cylinder turbo, as well as a strong V6 are two of the potential engines.

Safety:

For safety features, this new 2016 Kia Sorento receives wider D-pillars, Surround View Monitor, adaptive cruise control, and lane assist as well as optional blind-spot detection.

Conclusions:

The new 2016 Kia Sorento will go on sale in the United States in the first half of 2015. If you’re near Boston, come visit us at Quirk Kia in Braintree MA.
